    WHAT TO EXPECT

    JLR are looking for an experienced Cyber Security/Compliance Engineer who will be responsible for working with JLR's Powertrain product teams and suppliers to perform a Threat Analysis and Risk Assessment (TARA) and develop the overall Cyber Security Assurance case, for JLR vehicles, features and ECUs.

    Cyber Security is a fast paced and dynamic area of the automotive industry. You will be a critical part of the team, directly supporting the development of our Autonomous, Connected, Electric and Shared future to ensure we are robust to emerging security threats, as well as supporting upcoming legislation and standards such as and ISO21434.

    The team manages the delivery of JLR's powertrain software, both internally developed and source via Tier 1's. As part of the team's responsibility, compliance with JLR's Cyber Security requirements must be ensured. The Powertrain team works closely with JLR's Product Engineering central Cyber Security team.

    Key Accountabilities and Responsibilities

  • Reviewing Cyber Security documentation to support the development of JLR products, features and ECUs, in conjunction with the relevant product owners and teams.
  • Support the change control boards with evaluation of impact on cyber security activities.
  • Support Cyber Security Engineers in ensuring that engineering and supplier teams are correctly following Cyber Security processes, ensuring compliance with regulations and standards such as or ISO21434.
  • Organise internal (JLR) and/or external (with suppliers) review meetings when needed.
  • Support test engineers regarding Verification & Validation of cyber security requirements & goals.
  • Identification, review and specification of cyber KPIs and monitoring of their maturity.
  • WHAT YOU'LL NEED

    Essential

  • Proven experience and track record of delivery in a field relevant to the role such as software engineering, ECU delivery, supplier management, process development, etc.
  • Understanding of systems engineering principals and requirements development.
  • Experience of Cyber Security lifecycle within industry.
  • Understanding of the application of and ISO21434.
  • The ability to engineer in a way that is demonstrably compliant with standards and technical specifications.
