The role
As a Technical Database Administrator - WeldEye, you'll have a role that's out of the ordinary. You'll have significant input into the creation and management of training on the site Welding Quality Management System (WeldEye). Providing administration and support service to the Welding and NDT Departments.
Day-to-day, you'll deliver, manage and control all training on the system to all necessary users.
Assist Devonport WeldEye users with anything they require to complete their day-to-day activities, in accordance with the WeldEye policy document and the Welding and NDT Departments processes.
- Design and produce up to date training materials on how to use the Devonport WeldEye system. Deliver the training to new and existing users, providing any follow up guidance required
- Input required data into the system and allocate the correct data into projects as requested to by the users, from both production and the Welding and NDT Department
- Actively manage and resolve any communications received through the WeldEye support mailbox
- If requested, to assist the WeldEye Manager to carry out their responsibilities with the creation of new projects, and to support super users of other sites with any emergent issues in the absence of the WeldEye Manager if required
- Regularly familiarise themselves with any updates and changes to the system software
This role is full time 35, hours per week and provides hybrid working arrangements or can be fully remote.
Essential experience of the Technical Database Administrator - WeldEye
- Knowledge of how to use the WeldEye system
- Suitable understanding of the welding and quality management process within the dockyard, or suitable knowledge of welding processes in a production or quality control / assurance perspective
- Suitable experience of providing training to others or support to peers
- Understanding of ISO 3834 PT2
Qualifications for the Technical Database Administrator - WeldEye
- Understanding of ISO 3834 PT
- NVQ level 3 or similar in welding / fabrication
- Level 3 in IT or Business Administration
