    Principal Hardware Engineer - Satellite Communications | Loughborough, UK | Hybrid | £70,000 - £100,000

    Lynx is working with leading technology company, which is seeking a talented Principal Hardware Engineer to drive the design and development of cutting-edge satellite communications payload architecture. This is an exciting opportunity to make a significant impact in the rapidly evolving space industry while working with a dedicated and passionate team.

    Responsibilities:

    • Define and design next-generation payload computer product requirements and conduct meticulous trade-offs
    • Design complex high-speed digital/analogue circuit boards for pre-production prototypes
    • Procure and integrate evaluation modules and reference designs to complete proof-of-concept operations
    • Collaborate closely with international satellite development teams across various disciplines
    • Actively contribute to and lead the payload computer roadmap
    • Prepare comprehensive documentation for design reviews and effectively communicate technical information to diverse audiences

    Requirements:

    • Extensive experience in electronics hardware design, including analysis, simulation, schematic capture, PCB layout, and testing
    • Proven experience in leading the design and development of complex communications systems
    • Design experience with complex Microprocessor/DSP devices and on-board high-speed data buses
    • Proficiency in circuit analysis using suitable simulation tools
    • Hands-on problem-solving skills using test equipment
    • Experience with the full V-Model design cycle, from requirement capture through to design verification
