    Environmental and Sustainability Manager - London - £60K

    This is an exciting opportunity to step into a leadership role within the Environment and Sustainability function within a well established Infrastructure market leader. You will be a high valued member of the team leading this agenda, liaising with internal and external stakeholders to meet in house initiatives as well as client's sustainability initiatives.

    You will be curious and innovative; bringing a different perspective to inspire the team to think of new ways forward. You will be independent and have the ability to work autonomously but be able to work as part of a wider team and be confident to provide leadership and direction.

    The role comes with flexibility when required to meet individual needs that may be required for the role.

    The responsibilities will include but not limited too:

    • Continuously enhance the Integrated Management System (IMS) focusing on environmental aspects.
    • Play a role in fostering a culture of restorative justice within the organisation, promoting awareness and striving for ongoing environmental improvement.
    • Take the lead in devising an environmental communication strategy to be implemented throughout the organisation, supporting environmental commitments.
    • Collaborate with regulatory bodies and transportation authorities to promote continuous improvement and compliance with environmental legislation.
    • Contribute to benchmarking and the adoption of best practices in environmental and sustainability initiatives by fostering collaborative relationships with subsidiaries, clients, regulators, and authorities.
    • Identify gaps and suggest improvements in Incident Report Forms, Learning Reviews, and assurance mechanisms to enhance environmental performance.
    • Provide guidance and support for initiatives aimed at reducing environmental incidents and enhancing environmental performance.
    • Coordinate activities under the sustainability pillar, ensuring that all cross-functional endeavours are aligned with environmental and sustainability goals.

    The remuneration consists of:

    • Salary - up to £60k
    • 25 days holiday + bank holiday. This increases with length of service (up to 30 days).
