    HIGHER LEVEL TEACHING ASSISTANT

    Permanent, hours per week term time only, to start as soon as possible.

    VTG 9 Scale Point 26-29 starting salary £27,791 per annum, pro rata (actual starting salary will be £20,879 per annum) + Health Cash Plan and Benefits package (see website for full details of our employee benefit package)

    Venturers Trust is a dynamic and focused multi-academy trust based in Bristol, formed in September 2017 through the merger of CGS Trust and Merchants' Academy Trust. We are seeking a dedicated individual who will contribute to a wide range of teaching and learning activities and assist and support the work of qualified teachers. This will necessitate working with individuals, small groups and whole classes where the assigned teacher is not present.

    The successful candidate will have:


    • HTLA status, or equivalent qualification or relevant experience


    • Minimum GCSE Grace C English and Maths


    • Experience of working effectively with students with SEND, additional needs and/or disabilities on an individual basis or in groups.


    • Experience of delivering interventions on a 1:1 or small group basis


    • Knowledge and understanding of the four broad areas of SEND


    • Clear experience of being able to work effectively as part of a team and also independently managing your own workload.


    • You must display excellent interpersonal skills and demonstrate an attitude of learning, continual personal and professional development.
