    JOB TYPE:
    PARTIAL HYBRID (once the candidate has become an established member of the firm).

    Our small yet friendly and focused client law firm based in Tring is expanding and looking for a Family Solicitor/Lawyer to join their team, initially on a permanent part time basis.


    Main/General responsibilities:

    • There will be a mixed caseload of Family Law matters to include, Matrimonial, Divorce, Financial Arrangements, Children Law etc.

    1.1 To manage all client work allocated and in accordance with detailed procedures and quality standards contained in the firm's Office Manual.

    1.2 To ensure that all client work is progressed expeditiously and that the client is kept regularly informed on progress and on costs.

    1.3 At all times to exercise high standards of client care in a professional and pleasant manner.
    1.4 To ensure the confidentiality and security of all of the firm's and client documentation and information.
    1.5 To achieve agreed levels of billing and time recording.
    1.6 In close liaison with the bookkeeper, to have overall responsibility for credit control on own matters.
    1.7 To comply with the Solicitors Accounts Rules and the Rules on the Professional Conduct of Solicitors.
    1.8 To maintain clear and precise communications with other personnel of the firm.
    1.9 To ensure good working relationships with external institutions and organisations.
    1.10 To supervise, support and develop immediate support staff.
    1.11 To take responsibility for and attend to self-development.

    1.12 In conjunction with the firm, to comply with the relevant training requirements of the Law Society/Institute of Legal Executives and to assist with in-house training as may be required.

    1.13 In liaison with the Principal, to be active in promoting the services of the firm and its image and ethos.

    There will also be shared secretarial support.
    *Member of Resolution and/ or the Law Society Family Law Accreditation Scheme would be an advantage.


    START DATE:
    APRIL 2024


    SALARY:
    £40-50,000pa pro rata depending on qualifications and experience, with salary reviews.


    HOURS:
    Part -Time (3 days a week initially and happy for days to be added when the workload increases).
