Description

South Bristol Intermediate Care and Reablement

Part Time - 21hrs per week, Permanent x4
Help people regain daily living activities so they can get closer to the life they want to live.

What will I be doing?
Providing Reablement support to people in their homes or community settings, you will help them become more independent.

You will help with the daily living activities detailed in their individual plan, for example support with personal care and meal preparation.

Committed to supporting people's wellbeing, you'll help them focus on important issues such as good nutrition, home safety and energy efficiency.

You will also support, and where required, administer medication as appropriate.

Working flexible hours including evenings, weekends, and bank holidays, you will be there for vulnerable people at a time in their life when professional care and support can make a huge difference.

**What do I need to have?
You will need either a Level 2 Apprenticeship in Care or equivalent qualification, or willingness to undertake this training. You will definitely need good literacy and numeracy skills, equivalent to GCSE grade C/grade 4 or above. We expect you to be able to interpret and follow information on a variety of health and care documentation.

You must be a self-reliant individual who can work effectively as part of a team and without direct supervision. An awareness of safeguarding and the ability to cope with emergencies is important too. Crucially, you will bring a sensitive and flexible approach to this role.

You respect individual's rights, choices, privacy, and dignity, and you are passionate about working in a way that maximises their independence.

You'll also benefit from our competitive rewards package, with benefits including:

  • Access to the local government pension scheme
  • 24 days annual leave, increasing to 29 days after five years' continuous service, with the option to 'buy' additional leave
  • Bank Holiday enhancements paid
