We are looking for an experienced Business Development Manager to join our growing Managed IT division.

The role


As a Business Development Manager within our Managed IT Division, you will be responsible for successfully building a new business pipeline, developing upon existing customer accounts and effectively building sound, long lasting relationships with our clients,specifically focusing on four key solutions/services namely; Cloud & Datacentre, Modern Workplace, Cyber Security and Managed Services.


Your responsibilities as a Business Development Manager will be:

  • To successfully forecast and build a pipeline of new and existing business opportunities
  • Work in collaboration with the Solution Consulting team to put together detailed customer proposals
  • Take a proactive attitude towards new business development through outbound campaigns and follow up activities
  • Ensure the prospecting CRM database is maintained effectively to reflect progress with new business and existing accounts
  • Engage with the Product Review Board to develop new products and services based on your market expertise and client feedback
  • Successfully achieve personal KPI's, goaloriented objectives and work within our best practice sales frameworks
  • Maintain product and vendor training as well as relevant accreditations to ensure you maintain a sound knowledge of the technology market place, trends and innovative and transformative technologies
  • Promote the products and services offered by all divisions within the Commercial group


In addition, as Commercial offers a 'one stop shop' solution to businesses, it is hugely important you promote the products and services offered by all our divisions and work across all business units to identify upsell and cross sell opportunities.


About you

  • You will have recent experience of working within a new business environment where sales targets are consistently being achieved or exceeded
  • You will ideally have a proven track record of selling technology products/solutions into a variety of customers
  • Knowledge and an understanding of technologies such as IT infrastructure (servers, switching & storage), Microsoft stack including Microsoft 365, Modern Workplace & Azure, hosted cloud solutions, desktop and server virtualisation technologies, security,data & BCDR solutions would be advantageous
  • It would be beneficial if you can demonstrate an understanding of IT support and maintenance services and how such services deliver business value
  • A relevant degree level qualification (for example IT or Business) is highly desirable but not essential
  • You will have the ability to lead clients through the technology lifecycle and ensure alignment between both their business and IT strategy (in conjunction with the Solutions Consulting Team)
  • Proven experience of building sound, long lasting relationships with new and existing clients
  • Due to the nature of the role, a full, clean driving licence will be required for this role
