The role


As a Technical E-Commerce Manager, you will be the main point of contact for all things E-Commerce within Commercial Group, working closely with our clients, technical and operational teams.


As part of Commercial's ambitious growth and development plans, you will deliver on some truly exciting changes and projects, right from project initiation.


Your responsibilities as a Technical E-Commerce Manager will be:

  • Scope and document ongoing system functional projects and improvements
  • Test and deploy functional projects and improvements
  • Maintain our online catalogue and integration with 3rd parties
  • Aid business users in the effective use of the Ecommerce platform
  • Providing overall support on all E-Commerce issues
  • To investigate and report any operational/technical issues that arise
  • Investigate and resolve customer functionality/data issues
  • Assist in prioritising issues of varying severity through the Support Desk System
  • Act as a 3rd Line and 2nd Line support when troubleshooting issues when required
  • Ensure Customer Service Level Agreements are met or exceeded
In addition to the responsibilities of your role as Technical E-Commerce Manager, you will also be involved in the following:

  • Analyse data contained in databases and identify data integrity issues with existing solutions
  • Participate in Helpdesk review meetings with the Business Systems/Internal IT team
  • Actively participate in all IT Projects
  • Continuing your professional development by keeping up to date with the latest technologies

About you

  • You will be technically minded and have a keen interest in E-Commerce Management
  • Demonstrate a proven track record of working with a range of E-Commerce platforms
  • You will demonstrate that you have previously supported and developed multiple Content Management Systems
  • You will be of an advanced Excel level with the understanding and knowledge of complex formulas, VLOOKUPs and Pivot Tables
  • You will be of an analytical nature and enjoy collating and analysing data on a regular basis
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to adapt your approach in order to communicate effectively in a crossdivisional organisation
  • You will be meticulous and well organised with an ability to work on your own initiative as well as a team
  • Understand the importance of prioritisation and demonstrate a proactive approach to meeting preagreed deadlines
A deep knowledge and experience of the following would also be desirable:

  • Microsoft SQL Server
  • Transact SQL (T-SQL)
  • HTML 5, CSS, JavaScript
  • XML Data
  • Web design, marketing or general design
  • Mobile App Support and development
