We have an exciting opportunity in our expanding service in the Breast Care Centre.

We are looking for two enthusiastic, organised and very motivated individuals, who are keen to prove their aptitude in this fast developing environment.

The ability to multi-task and absorb information with speed and accuracy is essential.

You will need excellent verbal communication skills as you will be required to communicate information over the telephone and liaise face to face with different disciplines ensuring a professional manner at all times.

The post holder will help oversee the recall to assessment screening women.

You will also be expected to lead staff and have the ability to cope under pressure enabling to ensure all targets and standards are met.


The role also includes a level of responsibility for tracking the women through the recall process and adhering to the 62 day cancer pathway and informing the correct disciplines of potential breaches.

Overall main duties of the job are to provide effective management, administration and co-ordination of all clerical procedures concerning Breast Assessment Clinics in accordance with National Quality Assurance Guidelines.

You will also ensure Clinic Co-ordinators are fully briefed and prepared for all Breast Screening Assessment Clinics.

About the University Hospitals of Leicester NHS Trust: )

  • Ensure data accuracy to support Clinical Governance and Audit both locally and nationally.
  • To ensure all pathology relating to procedures and surgery performed are recorded on the NBSS.
  • To be responsible for clinical reports and discharge letters prioritising the workload according to agreed protocols.
  • Provide medical records required by Consultants for followup using the Track it system.
  • To provide correct inputting and retrieval of patient information using Somerset and observing the 62 Cancer pathway.
  • To oversee the Assessment Admin Team and ensure delivery of assessments and services.
