About us:

The TGS Automotive Group is a rapidly expanding vehicle conversions and solutions provider, tailored to the customer's specific requirements, drawing on over 50 years of industry experience innovation and recognised craftsmanship.

Vacancy:

This role is onsite in Fishponds, Bristol working 40 hours per week Monday to Friday 7.30am - 4pm with a salary of £12.50.

Overtime maybe required. The salary

The role:

The primary objective of this role is the storage and safekeeping of goods in the yard.

You are responsible for receiving goods from suppliers, checking them for damage, quality and quantity and ensuring all paperwork is filed and systems updated in a timely manner.

Primary Responsibilities:
Hybrid Function

Receiving deliveries and checking goods received
Detailed checking of Goods In for quantity, quality and correctness.
Collation of documentation / Updating the system.
Labelling the goods with correct job number.
Counter-Balance FLT License required.

IQC

Inspection of paperwork provided.
Inspection of physical products packaging method/pallets free of damage.
Indepth inspection of physical products using relevant drawings, including batch inspection, spot check inspection.
Complete relevant supporting documentation, e.g quantity inspection, reporting the quality fault, providing photos / evidence of the returns including communication to the relevant department.
Put forward areas of improvement taking into account ROI and CI practices to achieve improvements in quality.

Record Keeping and System Updating

Ensure all documentation is filed appropriately and in a timely manner.
Update Management System in an accurate and timely manner.

Material flow to shop floor

Assist in the flow of materials to the shop floor.
Accurate and detailed picking of parts and placing in designated area/receptacle.
Taking parts and consumables to the designated fitting area.

Stock

To carry out perpetual physical stock counting to ensure stock levels are maintained as requested by Stock Control or Stores Manager.
To assist with 6 monthly stock takes as requested by your Team Leader

Quarantine/Goods Returns

Responsibility for the maintenance of quarantine area and all returns working with your Team Leader.
Using the NCR's determine whether it requires a line of quality support, supplier returns and allocate relevant costs where required.

Galvanizing

Responsible for picking a big / heavy fabrication on the yard.
Ensure galvanized components are available to fitters as part of the kitting process.

Material Handling & Storage Equipment

Safe loading of racks and racking equipment

Waste Management

Maintain high level of housekeeping throughout the yard and storage areas.
Removal of all rubbish from work area to correct waste bins.

Yard & Delivery Management (back-up & holiday cover)

All yard housekeeping.
Safe operation of vehicle movements on site.
Coordination of deliveries to TGS.

General

Provide sickness cover for Yard Team
To ensure TGS HSSE policies are maintained and adhered to
Coordinate Breaks with colleagues
