Join us.Job Purpose:
The candidate will be required to electrically diagnose, rectify, and maintain Aston Martin prototype vehicles / bucks to facilitate both whole vehicle & component testing, including support of off-site testing.
Key Duties & Responsibilities:
Follow H&S guidelines.
Manufacture/sub-assembly of relevant components
Strip and inspect parts.
Diagnosis and resolution of electrical issues with prototype vehicles
Will be able to work to circuit diagrams / electrical schematics
HV component assembly and operation (training provided)
Fault find and diagnose errors with hardware and software
Component, software and coding updates to the required level, ensuring all vehicle updates are appropriately documented
Liaise with appropriate engineers and integration team to help resolve software and coding errors
Design and make one-off harnesses/overlays
Rework electrical harnesses to required engineering changes
Liaise with system and development engineers regarding identified issues
Problem solving to aid in solution of current vehicle issues
Housekeeping duties
Qualification & Experience:
Minimum 3 years' experience working in a similar automotive electrical basis role.
Ability to perform detailed inspection
Failure investigations and problem solving
Working across functional teams effectively
Positive, proactive attitude is essential
Use of various types of electrical diagnostic equipment – EVO Diag, Canalyser etc.
