    Our client is an established and successful asset manager, with a global reach and offices around the world. This organisation serves an institutional client base in over 50 countries around the world and continues to grow and develop, driven by a spirit of innovation and entrepreneurialism.

    As part of the continued growth and development of our client's EMEA Legal team, a new sub-team is being set up to focus on fund documentation and other contracts to provide support to their international client base.

    A valuable member of this new sub-team will be a junior paralegal/legal professional who will focus on contract amendment, negotiation and management as well as providing input on the development and implementation of technology in this space to enhance efficiency, so this role has the opportunity create lasting change across the legal team and wider business.

    More specifically, what will the role involve?

    • drafting, reviewing, negotiating, filing and organisation of investment management agreements (IMAs) and other ancillary contracts and fund documentation;;
    • when required, manage contact with various clients and other external stakeholders.
    • help advise the wider legal team and business on the operational and legal aspects of the newly developed processes;
    • implement technological solutions to refine and improve existing legal procedures.

    What skill sets are we looking for?

    We are looking for a paralegal/legal professional or paralegal with at least 1 year of experience, with at least some/all of the below:;

    • prior experience in asset management, with some knowledge of fund documentation (including IMAs) would be beneficial;
    • experience with the negotiation of commercial contracts in the wider financial service arena, or regulated sectors like energy, technology or insurance.
    • a genuine interest in technology and AI, and more beneficially, experience in implementing or utilising new technologies in a previous/current role.

    What softer skill sets are we looking for?

    • A very good academic record, with strong written and verbal communication skills;
    • Excellent attention to detail;
    • Ability to work independently, as well as collaboratively in a team environment.
