Kingsley Consulting is partnered with a leading Construction Product & Systems Manufacturer to support the appointment of a Distribution & Merchant Sales Director within their Senior Management Team.

Role Overview:
As the Distribution & Merchant Sales Director, you will be responsible for spearheading the Distribution sales strategies for the business across the Northern Territories, collaborating with the Southern Sales Director to deliver UK sales targets.
You will play a crucial role in driving sales revenue and establishing new distribution/merchant market avenues from senior level, creating value added propositions and developing framework agreements within National Merchant customers and Key Buying groups.
Another element of the position will be to oversee, direct and support the Regional Sales Team to help guide their growth areas, professional development and target/KPI achievement.
Salary:

Location:
Home based, covering the Northern Territories of the UK – (North West, North East & parts of Scotland)
Key Position Deliverables:
Ownership of the Distribution sales strategy and leading Business Development initiatives across the North, contributing to the company's growth and market presence.
Identify and appoint new distribution account channels with a focus on building large supply chain agreements and frameworks, setting scope, pricing, and distribution of products to ensure maximum usage with consumers and maximum ROI.
Drive annual sales negotiations and develop on-going business relationships with national merchant customers and key retail buying accounts at all levels.
Further develop product & market knowledge within the organisation and actively feedback consumer & market insights through regular market visits, networking activities and distribution landscape mappingCollaboration with the Southern Sales Director and wider Senior Management team to set and achieve revenue goals throughout the UK
Experience & Skills Required:
Extensive knowledge within Construction Products / Building Materials sector, ideally gained within either a Manufacturer or Distributor.
Strong negotiator with a proven ability to drive sales revenue growth and product market share.
Dynamic relationship builder with a strategic and target-driven mindset
Must have an in-depth knowledge of merchant and distribution buying groups
Previous experience of developing relationships at senior level and implementing / developing national supplier framework agreements.
Strong leadership qualities with experience in directing / leading a regional sales team operating within distribution sales channels.
Ability and willingness to travel throughout the Northern UK Territories
