We are currently looking to recruit an experienced Homeless Support Worker to work in Gateshead, full time hours 9-5 Monday to Friday

The role

To provide general and practical support and advice to homeless and potentially homeless people with complex needs.
To take responsibility for Safeguarding and promoting the welfare of Children and vulnerable adults
To advise clients on developing their life skills to enable them to live independently.
To liaise and communicate effectively with colleagues, other agencies and clients in order to share knowledge.
To report concerns and monitor antisocial behaviour.
Updating tenants' records on a regular basis to ensure appropriate action is taken.

The person

Must have current Housing and Social Care Knowledge of issues.
Have experience of Safeguarding policies and procedures.
Have excellent I.T skills including use of MS Office.
Have a minimum of 5 GCSE grades A\C or above (including Maths and English or equivalent).
Must be able to drive and have full access to a car (for which a mileage allowance will be paid)

This is an on-going role

Job Types:
Full-time, Part-time, Temporary contract

Contract length: 3 months

Part-time hours: 37.5 per week

From £13.17 per hour
