Are you seeking an exciting new challenge starting in September 2023?

  • Promote inclusion and diversity across the school


As the appointed SENDCo, you will collaborate closely with the Senior Leadership Team (SLT) and Headteacher to champion inclusivity and diversity throughout the school.

You will also oversee the day-to-day execution of the school's SEND policy.

Although the percentage of children on the SEND register is relatively small, your responsibility will be to guarantee that each child receives an exceptional education tailored to their individual needs.

It is essential for this role that you possess the NASENCO qualification.


Key Responsibilities:


  • Develop and shape the strategic direction of the SEND policy and provision
  • Offer professional guidance to teaching and support staff on all aspects of SEN support and teaching
  • Collaborate with leadership and teaching staff to devise effective strategies for overcoming barriers to education and learning
  • Enhance the schoolwide understanding of special educational needs and awareness of EHCPs

Requirements:


  • Qualified Teacher Status
  • National Award for Special Educational Needs Coordination
  • Minimum of 12 months of experience as a SENCo in a school setting
  • Thorough understanding of the EHCP process
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to convey information clearly and effectively
  • Comprehensive knowledge of Special Educational Needs
