Join us on the Journey... We have an exciting opportunity for a Partnerships/Business Development Manager, based in Birmingham. You will be responsible for increasing bus patronage in the West Midlands region by forging new partnership agreements with high volume employers, attractionsand large scale events. You will be establishing, developing and retaining business growth opportunities, primarily through commercial opportunities, local bus tendering (public and private sector), partnerships and fostering existing relationships to increaserevenue and long term sales account/partnership development.

What you'll do...

  • Proactively seeking and creating new business and retaining current business relationships via effective outreach strategies.
  • Working to predefined KPIs aimed to ensure the business demands are exceeded.
  • Creating sales and marketing strategies to drive new business acquisition and driving long term business objectives.
  • Conducting business meetings to develop longterm relationships with key stakeholders.
  • Investigating and enhancing opportunities from your network to drive revenue growth.
  • Remaining uptodate in understanding competitor's activity and offerings.
  • Drive revenue, profit growth and customer acquisition across all sales channels.
  • Create detailed business cases to successfully influence senior internal stakeholders across the key functions to deliver actions required.
  • Create and maintain detailed monthly sales reports and maintain an accurate ongoing forecast.
  • Represent the company at trade exhibitions, events and demonstrations.
  • Strategically plan and develop your sales pipeline.
What you'll have...

  • A degree in business administration, sales or finance is desirable.
  • Prior experience within the passenger transport sector working in a commercial/business development role within the Midlands area is desirable.
  • Entrepreneurial spirit, highly motivated, determined, tenacious and passionate to succeed.
  • Having business and financial acumen to understand complex models and use that information to develop strategic plans.
  • Strong negotiator and can anticipate stakeholder tactics, motivations, sensitivities and intentions.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to liaise with senior internal and external people/stakeholders building genuine long lasting relationships.
  • Full UK driving license with your own car and happy to travel to Head Office and onsite client business meetings is essential.
  • Knowledge and experience of CRM systems such as Salesforce.
