Our client is a national facilities management company that is recruiting for a
MobileMaintenance Technicianto take full responsibility for the building maintenance across several education sites in and around the Bromsgrove area.


Your role as aMobileMaintenance Technician will include;

  • Maintain mechanical & electrical plant and equipment, including but not limited to general plumbing work, statutory testing of emergency lighting, PAT, other general mechanical and electrical service tasks.
  • Day to day responsibility for the BMS front face system checks, scheduling, set point adjustments, etc.
  • Identify spare parts to carry out repairs and order through appropriate management channels
  • Carrying out the preparation of Risk Assessments and producing Method Statements for works within the sites.
  • Liaison and supervision of subcontractors where required.
  • Assist in the fulfilment of health and safety responsibilities within the project facilities.
  • Provide general support duties to site caretakers, catering, and cleaning staff.
  • Ensure the correct operation of hot & coldwater plant, heating plant and lighting systems.
  • Carry out and supply meter readings for utility consumption when required.
  • Be available for out of hours major emergencies and other reasonable requests when required.

The idealMobileMaintenance Technician will have;

  • Experience as a mobile technician working in a busy service environment, with the relevant electrical qualifications, commercial plumbing experience would be advantageous.
  • Experience in maintenance and fault finding on a variety of equipment including, Electric trace heating, electric water heaters, ventilation systems, Pumps pressurization, circulation, water booster systems, switchgear, data points/cables, UPS, smallpower and lighting.
  • Ability to read, understand and diagnose faults utilising asinstalled drawings, as installed schedules, contract specifications and equipment.
  • Full driving licence.
  • Good communication and organisational skills.
  • Ability to use initiative in daytoday duties.
  • An Enhanced DBS or happy to undertake.
