Rotherham Aspire is a Pupil Referral Unit who puts 'Building Positive Relationships' at the heart of our provision. As we continue to grow and expand an exciting opportunity has arisen to join our Outreach Team. This team will provide support, advice and guidance to mainstream schools where students are at risk of permanent exclusion. This role is primarily about support and prevention. You will be working with a range of professionals from Health and Care to provide the best support for our children

You will have.

  • Experience of SEMH in either an AP/ Specialist or Outreach service.
  • The ability to build positive relationships with the staff and pupils.
  • Confidence to support and challenge practitioners to better understand the needs of our pupils
  • Training in Attachment/ ASC/ Thrive/ Theraplay
  • Skills to enthuse the most complex students to achieve their potential.
  • Ability to adapt to ever changing circumstances and embrace new ideas.
  • Comfortable working with young people who have SEMH and additional needs.
  • A good sense of humour, be able to laugh
