Foodbuy Solutions team, part of the wider Digital and Technology department, is responsible for the design, build and support of our in-house e-procurement system.
The SQL Developer will be a member of this team and work across the Compass UK & Ireland business sectors, supporting and enhancing the existing system to meet business demand via strategic and tactical solutions.
To provide SQL technical capabilities to our Foodbuy Solutions team.Work collaboratively with other D&T and business project teams to ensure quality solutions are delivered.
We are looking for an experienced SQL developer (MySQL and Microsoft SQL).You must be able to demonstrate a maturity in approach when engaging with and supporting the IT Leadership team and the wider business in general.
Ability to work independently, to meet project timelines and drive out resolutions to problems.A passion for good database practices & designs.
Strong proficiency with SQL development including the ability to write complex queries.
Excellent knowledge of modern relational databases (MySQL, Microsoft SQL).
Expertise in database server administration.
Experience in delivering performance improvements.
Good knowledge of the software delivery cycle.
Knowledge of AWS.
Appreciation for testing techniques including automation.
Knowledge of agile related delivery approaches.
