Job Description

As a Data Architect Contractor, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining the data architecture of our organization.

Your primary focus will be on developing scalable and efficient data models, creating data integration strategies, and ensuring data integrity and security.

You will work closely with cross-functional teams, including developers, database administrators, and business stakeholders, to understand data requirements and translate them into technical solutions.

• Design and develop data architecture solutions that align with business objectives and support organizational goals.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to gather data requirements and understand business needs.
• Create and maintain conceptual, logical, and physical data models.
• Develop data integration strategies and design data flow processes to ensure smooth data movement and transformation.
• Identify data quality issues, design appropriate data cleansing and validation processes, and implement data governance practices.
• Collaborate with developers and database administrators to implement data solutions and ensure optimal performance and scalability.
• Define and enforce data security and privacy measures, including access controls and data encryption.
• Stay up to date with industry trends and emerging technologies related to data architecture and recommend relevant tools and techniques for continuous improvement.
• Provide technical guidance and support to the development team and other stakeholders.
• Document data architecture designs, processes, and standards.

• Proven experience as a Data Architect or in a similar role, preferably as a contractor or consultant.
• Strong knowledge and understanding of data architecture principles, methodologies, and best practices.
• Proficiency in designing and implementing data models, data integration solutions, and data governance frameworks.
• Solid understanding of relational databases, data warehousing concepts, and ETL processes.
• Experience with data modeling tools and data management systems.
• Familiarity with cloud-based data platforms and technologies (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud).
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Detail-oriented with a strong focus on data accuracy and integrity.
• Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and deliver high-quality results within tight deadlines.
