    Description
    An opportunity has arisen for a part time Community Occupational Therapist to join the Stowmarket Integrated Neighbourhood Team. Community experience is preferred but not essential as full training will be given.

    The primary function of the Therapy element of the team is to provide healthcare such as short term rehabilitation to patients in their home environment.

    We also run clinics at base such as Falls Clinic and Better Balance group.

    You would need to be motivated and committed to delivering high quality care.

    There is an expectation you would use your own car for work initially.

    oDiploma or Degree in Occupational Therapy
    oExperience of the supervision of staff and students
    oDocumented evidence of Continuing Professional Development

    oEvidence of skill relevant to the rehabilitation of adults with physical disabilities gained through theory and practical course and experience.

    oExperience of working with adults with complex physical, sensory and cognitive disabilities.

    oExperience of working with a range of primary and community services including Health, Social Care Services and the independent Sector.


    oCurrent professional student practice placement educator training and associated skills
    oCurrent knowledge and skills of moving and handling dependent adults and older people
    oA knowledge of primary and community services
    oStandard computer skills including use of Microsoft and email.
    oHigh level of presentation and training skills
    oAble to travel to rural locations.
