    Member appointments to the board of NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde

    Location: UK-Glasgow

    No. of Appointments: 6

    Remuneration: GBP £9,030.00/Per Annum

    Time Commitment: 8 Hours per week

    NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde is looking for six new members to join its Board, including a Whistleblowing Champion Member and a Capital Projects specialist.

    The Health Board's role is to improve the health and wellbeing of the people of Greater Glasgow and Clyde and to deliver high quality, person-centred care. In doing so, NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde provides a comprehensive range of primary, community-based and acute and psychiatric hospital services for the population.

    We are looking for people who are willing to put themselves forward for appointment and who can put their skills, knowledge and experience to use for the benefit of the Board. As a non-executive member, you will be expected to make a full contribution to the work of the Board, including participation in its governance committees.

    Remuneration and time commitment: £9,030 per annum (non-pensionable) is payable for a time commitment of around eight hours per week. Reasonable expenses will be reimbursed.

    Location: The main Board meetings, which take place bi-monthly, will normally be held at a location in Glasgow but as with other meetings, virtual and hybrid arrangements are available. The method of participation is participants' choice.

    Interviews: Interviews will be held in person on 9,13,14 and 15 May in Glasgow.

    Skills/Experience Required

    In this round we are seeking members who have priority skills for two of the available roles. Please see further details below. Please note that you may only apply for one of these roles (Role 1 or 2). You may also apply for a General Member role (Role 3-6) if you wish.

    Role - Priority Criterion

    Role 1 – Whistleblowing Champion

    Ability to provide assurance against National Whistleblowing Standards

    Role 2 – Specialist in oversight of major capital projects

    Experience of planning, delivering or overseeing major capital projects

    All candidates will also be required to provide evidence of the essential criteria for these roles, which are:

    For the General Member roles (Role 3-6), there are some desirable criteria for skills and experience which would further strengthen the Board:
