If so, we are offering an exciting opportunity for you to join our team of senior Occupational Therapists at Frimley Park Hospital to lead our acute medical for a fixed term.

You will be supported and actively encouraged in enhancing your leadership and clinical skills in this area, to facilitate service improvement and integration with community services and other providers.


To provide strong leadership as part of a leadership team which includes the OT service manager, Principal OT, Specialist Flow lead and Band 7 teams leads peers.

(The Occupational Therapy service at Frimley Park Hospital is based in teams covering Orthopaedics & Surgery, Neurology, Medicine & Acute Assessment (ED and Admission Avoidance areas), General Medicine, and Hand Therapy).

Provide a high-quality expert OT service within specified team.

The Team Leader contributes to the provision, co-ordination, and development of OT services for their specific section, as well as managing their team on a daily basis.


Manage a complex caseload of patients within clinical section, using advanced clinical reasoning, critical thinking, reflection, and analysis to support the OT process.


Take a lead role in training and supervising staff and students; and participates in administrative functions of the OT Department.

Main responsibilities include:

assessment and treatment of complex patients as part of their acute journey; formulating recommendations and making onward referrals to meet existing needs and maximise patients' longer term potential; communicating clearly with the MDT across a range of settings and counties (including carers and families); maintaining HCPC, RCOT, Trust and department standards; contributing to quality service delivery and improvement work; maintaining continuous personal development whilst contributing to the development of others; providing clinical, managerial and wellbeing support to a small team; contributing to the leadership team within the department.
