Description
Under the direction of the Practice Nurses and ANPs undertake basic nursing and technical tasks to provide a comprehensive nursing service for Practice patients.
Liaise with the Diabetic Team and be responsible for the administration of diabetic care plans.To provide a phlebotomy service for the practice population
Undertake routine diagnostic nursing tasks such as, ECGs, blood pressure checks, ambulatory blood pressure monitoring, blood glucose monitoring, routine heights, weights and urinalysis
Undertake spirometry
Use patient contacts as opportunities to promote health education, including education on practice systems such as obtaining a blood result.
Take responsibility for the administration of diabetic care planning, coordinating patient results and clinical observations and ensuring the care plan is sent to the patient in time for their annual review
To participate and administer the NHS Health Check Programme
