    The Data Strategy CoE team leads the design and delivery of the overall UK Data Strategy on behalf of Data and Analytics and Vodafone UK - maximising incremental value from data through the design & delivery of 'Valuable', 'Accessible' & 'Trusted' data.

    Now is a really exciting time to join the team as we begin our data transformation journey to implement this agreed data strategy working across all of Vodafone UK.

    This role is responsible for leading and managing data governance within a federated ownership model.

    You will ensure the data governance framework is used across a number of lines of business (LoB) to maintain data ownership and drive forward data governance initiatives as and when appropriate.

    You will play a key part in improving data fluency, through training and clear communications, and be the key contact for owners, stewards and custodians on all aspects of data governance.

    You will assure that LoBs are following data policies and standards as well as monitoring the capture of risks, issues and opportunities.

    All activity will be driving the UK Data Strategy to ensure Valuable, Trusted and Accessible data that is owned and governed.

    Facilitate and manage regular data governance forums for each LOB.

    • Foster communication and collaboration between owners, stewards, custodians and data users.
    • Support the identification of data issues in the LoBs and ensure that escalations are raised through the Data Governance framework
    • Proactively identify and champion data governance initiatives that create opportunities for the organization.
    • Act as an expert for data related policies and standards for the LoBs.
    • Assure data governance maturity assessments are carried out and worked into future roadmaps
    • Develop and deliver training programs to raise awareness and understanding of data governance principles across LOBs.
    • Active management to increase the content and quality of content for Business assets in the data catalogue.
    • Develop and maintain a data governance roadmap for each LOB, outlining key objectives and initiatives to improve data maturity
    • Recommend adjustments to the strategy based on ongoing analysis and stakeholder feedback.

    Data Governance:
    Strong understanding of data governance principles, frameworks, and best practices (understanding a federated model is a bonus)


    • Ability to lead and facilitate LoB data governance forums effectively.

    Training & Development:
    Experience in developing stakeholder understanding of data governance and improving maturity.

    Data Governance Assurance:
    Evidence of ensuring stakeholders are adhering to policies and standards that are related to data.
