We are innovators with a knowledge-rich curriculum, designed to personalise learning for every student, helping them to reach their potential.

With a holistic view of education, we value vocational, practical, creative and academic excellence equally, creating an environment where every student can shine.

We have won numerous awards as a school and we have been accredited with the prestigious IQM Award, which highlights that inclusion at all levels is of paramount importance to us.

We are also proud to have been awarded Silver Status by the Carnegie Centre of Excellence for Mental Health Award.

Help to take us to the next level.

All academies within the Outwood Family have gained the IQM Inclusive Schools Award with 18 having Centre of Excellence status and one holding Flagship status.

Outwood Academy Valley is looking to appoint a dynamic, enthusiastic and inspirational teacher to join our Computer Science department.

This is a fantastic opportunity for a teacher who really wants to make a difference to the lives of young people.

The Computer Science and Business Faculty consists of 5 members of staff; 2 specialist Business teachers, 2 specialist Computer Science teachers and a member of staff who teaches both subjects.

There is a faculty lead and a second in faculty with the primary role of leading the Computer Science department.

The trust also has a director of Computer Science to offer support, advice and resources when needed. Computer Science is taught one hour per week at KS3.

We currently offer OCR GCSE Computer Science at KS4, and will be offering the WJEC IT course from next year.

We share the teaching of Computer Science and IT at A level with Outwood Academy Portland, our sister school, where we currently have a total of 4 groups.

In an OFSTED deep dive last year the Computer Science department was rated 'outstanding'.
