    Description

    We are seeking an experienced Operations Manager to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in general contracting, particularly in ICI and unionized environments. They should possess excellent communication skills, a firm understanding of technology, and a proven track record of successful project management. The Operations Manager will play a pivotal role in driving the growth of the business as they plan to scale from $25 million to $50 million, while overseeing a team of 7 direct reports and liaising with stakeholders, clients and potential clients.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Lead and mentor a team of project managers and coordinators, as well as shop supervisors and trades to ensure successful project delivery.
    • Develop and implement strategic plans to achieve company growth targets.
    • Oversee day-to-day operations, including project scheduling, budget management, and resource allocation.
    • Maintain strong relationships with stakeholders, clients, and tradespeople through effective communication and collaboration.
    • Utilize technology tools such as PlanSwift, MS Office, and Excel to streamline processes and enhance productivity.
    • Conduct site visits and inspections, ensuring adherence to safety standards and project requirements.
    • Travel to client sites within a 1.5-hour radius of the KWC region as required.

    • Minimum of 7 years of project management experience in the construction industry.
    • Strong understanding of general contracting principles, with experience in ICI and unionized environments.
    • Proficiency in technology tools such as PlanSwift, MS Office, and Excel.
    • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to interact effectively with diverse stakeholders.
    • Strategic mindset with a proven ability to drive business growth and achieve targets.
    • Experience managing a team of direct reports.
    • Valid driver's license and willingness to travel to client sites.
