An influential global media company is looking for somebody who has experience with people management to join their team as the IT Manager.
The IT Manager will be responsible for managing their team as well as their development, providing support and trainingwhen necessary.
This is not a hands-on role however, someone with previous hands on experience within a Mac environment is ideal.Responsibilities:
- Manage the annual Information Technology OPEX and CAPEX budget, tracking actual spends and ensuring we stay within the agreed budget costs and timelines.
- Work with the global IT department on agency wide IT infrastructure, services and strategy in line with the global IT strategic plan.
- Accountable for the delivery of all technology related projects ensuring they are on time, within scope and in budget.
- Manage and develop relationships with internal and external stakeholders, vendors, outsourced development lead and manage technical team with clear structure and processes for the department.
- Team resource planning, development, appraisals, training, motivation and discipline.
- Office specific contracts and rate negotiations for services managed or operated by third parties or outsourced suppliers.
- Carrying out and enforcing Cyber Security strategy and policy.
- Ensure security across all technical systems and software services for both internal and external clients. Maintain good practices in the use of software, services, and technology by implementing and managing IT policies and procedures.
- At least 2 years experience in an IT Management role.
- Excellent project planning and management skills.
- Proven track record of delivering successful large infrastructure projects.
- Broad knowledge of computer systems (hardware/software), networks, telecommunications.
- A broad knowledge of enterprise grade cloud systems and platforms and how they are employed within the business environment.
- Experience working with and enforcing cyber security policies and procedures within a professional environment.
- Experience working with budgets, procurement, managing suppliers, negotiating competitive rates and delivering value on hardware, software and services purchased.
- Ability to manage a team, providing direction, motivation and ensuring cohesion.
