A fantastic job opportunity has arisen for a Supply Chain Planner with manufacturing or production experience, ideally within automotive, to join a global manufacturing business with a great reputation at their office based in Redditch.

This join is within the friendly and supportive customer supply chain team with amazing staff retention.

This role will be working closely with the supply chain analyst and supply chain manager and focus on the Europe side of the business.

This role is based at the office in Redditch, South Birmingham and is a hybrid working role (50% in the office, 50% work from home)

Salary = £30-33,000 per annum + bonus
Benefits = Hybrid working, 25 days holiday + statutory holidays, pension, healthcare, etc.

Hours = Mon-Fri 8am-4:30pm


Duties include:


  • Independently manages a portfolio of 3040 suppliers and associated part numbers to meet Supply-Chain objectives
  • Understand the customer objectives and formulate operations activities to ensure compliance with customer key performance metrics
  • Provide excellent support to Customer Service as a liaison between supply chain, Customer Service and the Warehouse
  • Provide input to management and team meetings to continuously improve regional performance
  • Develop adhoc solutions for daytoday challenges, and cover absence within the UK team
  • Monitor and track achievement to goals, objectives, and timelines
  • Assign, monitor, and review the progress and accuracy of assigned work.
  • Identify, react, and effectively communicate issues with Materials Manager.
  • Ensure all report completion
  • Initiate inventory reduction and other improvement projects for Supply-Chain function within EU
  • Will have previous materials planning or supply chain planning experience
  • Lives a commutable distance from Redditch
  • Have strong IT skills including Microsoft Excel functions (vlookup or pivot tables) and SQL
  • Previous MRP/ERP systems experience is desirable
  • Drives for continuous improvements
  • A good collaborator
