Mechanical Technician - Lancashire - Salary £40,000 - £43,000 DOECBW has a new opportunity for a mechanical engineer to join an established FM company on a permanent basis. The sucessful candidate willl provide mechanical and building services maintenance to commercial buildings. This will include fault finding, repairs, maintenance, and installation.
Key Responsibilities:
• Perform scheduled inspections, preventative and corrective maintenance, repairs, adjustments, testing, and troubleshooting of assigned mechanical equipment.
• Dismantle devices and removes defective parts, test and calibrate systems and equipment to ensure proper system operations using test equipment or precision measuring instruments.
• Comply with all applicable codes, regulations, and Company policies related to building operations and work safety.
• Have full knowledge of work areas and follow schedules as required
• Daily, weekly, and periodic tasks are carried out as requested
• Demonstrate full working knowledge of all relevant equipment and materials
• Co-operate with requests from client and managers, giving assistance where necessary
• Highlight any facilities-related issues to line management and/or service desk.
• To undertake contractor control duties on behalf of the client, including monitoring of contractors and their workmanship, so that relevant standards are met.
• To evaluate performance and ensure the proper servicing and maintenance of equipment under contract to the company is carried out.
• Completes maintenance and repair records as required.
Person Specification:
• Qualified Mechanical Technician.
• Significant experience in providing mechanical building services maintenance to include fault finding, maintenance, installation, and inspection/testing.
• Significant previous experience in providing reactive and PPM building services maintenance.
• Experience of working within FM or building services within commercial properties.
• Communicates effectively & working collaboratively
