This is an exciting opportunity with the MSK Orthopaedics Team.


We are looking for an enthusiastic individual to join our team of Waiting List Coordinator, to actively support the Directorate in the efficient and effective management of the inpatient waiting lists.

The post holder will be responsible for scheduling of fully utilised theatre lists.

Liaising with Consultants, Coordinators in OSCCA and Sub-Specialty Coordinator to ensure efficient planning and escalate any underutilisation or capacity issues in a timely manner.


  • Robustly manage a PTL against local and national waiting times in accordance to the Access Policy.
  • Prepare and attend multidisciplinary planning meetings.
  • Be responsible for informing Theatre and Anaesthetic Teams of the Theatre list requirements within the Directorate, such as KIT requirements, including bespoke items and products. Ensuring any cancellations or changes are communicated to appropriate department and persons
  • Use appropriate booking processes to facilitate the admission of patients adding, removing and suspending patients to and from the inpatient waiting list.
  • Be responsible for making sure all relevant information is accurately recorded on Lorenzo, ORMIS, CBBS, COO report and diaries.
  • Be responsible for the production of theatre lists using the ORMIS database ensuring all relevant information is recorded and documented including updating alterations making sure they are accurate and delivered in a timely manner.


This vacancy is advertised on a fixed term contract basis for a period of a maximum of twelve months due to maternity leave of the substantive post holder.

The fixed term contract status of the post holder will be reviewed in accordance with the Trust's legal obligations regarding fixed term contracts and statutory maternity provisions.

Please also note any secondment must first be agreed with your current line manager.
