Assistant Accountant

Our client who is a growing group of companies in healthcare is looking for an assistant accountant to work directly with their finance manager in a hands-on accounting position.

This is a varied role covering all transactional work, posting to journals,and processing payroll. You will need to be good at meeting deadlines, liaising with a full range of staff & external organisations.

Responsibilities include:

Assisting with final accounts preparation
VAT Returns
Accounts payable & preparing monthly supplier statements
Account receivable & sales ledger processing
Verifying company expenses, bank deposits and bank payments
Assisting with the preparation of and processing payroll
Updating and reconciling financial ledgers
Monthly bank reconciliations
Assisting in the creation of KPI reports
Invoicing clients on long term contracts

AAT Level

Good working knowledge of Excel

Working hours:
Monday to Friday 30 to 37.5 Hours per week.
