International People Management Team Apprentice

Contract:
Fixed Term 18 Months, Full Time


Salary:
London Living wage £27,219 with excellent benefits


Location:
Hybrid Working, 3 days in the London office (Canary Wharf).

About the Team:


The WaterAid International People Management Team lead on the development of strategies that ensure that WaterAid's people are aligned and engaged with our aims and objectives, and that they have the skills and opportunities to maximise the impact they can make.

We work with managers across the organisation to deliver great people management and to create a high performing environment.


About the Role:


As our International People Team Apprentice you will learn how to provide a wide range of administrative support and develop new and effective ways of working.

In this role, you will learn how to provide team administrative and coordination support by closely working with the International People Management Director and the wider team.

You will learn how to support the team by developing a wide range of administrative tasks including diary management, note taking, preparing presentation slides, acting as contact for external suppliers etc.


You'll also develop the skills to:

  • Support any recruitment administration for the team and oversee induction arrangements.
  • Support on various HR projects and initiatives where required.
  • Provide cross departmental administration support and cover.
  • Support the management of our internal SharePoint/MS Teams sites, ensuring that documents are relevant, and information is easy to access.
  • Coordinate the administration of travel requests. ensuring value for money and safe and efficient travel arrangements.
  • Process team invoices accurately, ensuring they're coded and ready for authorisation.

About You:

What training will you undertake as the apprentice and what qualification will you get at the end?

  • Level 3 Business Administration Standard
  • Functional skills in maths and English if required
  • 5 Additional day courses with HOET

  • To be interested in learning and developing new skills and expertise
  • To be a team player with a mindset of working out how to help and support others
  • To be able to communicate clearly and confidently
  • If you can speak French, Portuguese or Spanish that would be an advantage as we operate over seas
