    Thornbury Primary LeadershipAcademy is a primary school, with a nursery, for 3 to 11 year olds in Bradford. We joined Star Academies in 2018 and, like all Star schools, we have a leadership specialism.

    The school was rated'good' overall, with 'outstanding' judgements in two of the five areas of the inspection framework during its inspection in September 2022.

    We are an ambitious school with high expectations for all of our pupils. We provide a knowledge-based academic curriculum alongside a rich and diverse leadership programme that grows character and inspires charitable and social action.     Who we're looking for

    We are looking for a tenacious and driven leader with a proven track record of leading and supporting children to achieve outstanding results - someone who shares the trust's vision and the belief that all young people, if nurtured and given the right opportunities, can achieve excellence in their academic studies and personal and leadership development.

    We want to hear from ambitious, talented senior leaders and established Principals who will bring inspirational leadership to our school. You will be highly motivated and passionate about making a difference to the lives of young people with the natural ability to inspire and motivate both pupils and peers.

    With substantial leadership experience as a Principal or Deputy, you will lead an approach that sees every challenge as an opportunity to continually improve standards of education and to foster an outstanding learning environment. As a Star leader, you'll join the Star Academies family, a high-performing and supportive network of primary and secondary schools with some of the best leaders in education.

    You will have:

    • Degree-level qualification and Qualified Teacher Status.
    • Experience of managing delegated budgets.
    • Experience of self-evaluation procedures and strategic analyses within a school.
    • The ability to create, and secure commitment to, a clear vision for an effective and high achieving school.
    • The ability to create and maintain an ethos of excellence and endeavour that is founded on integrity, accountability and a sense of service.
