This role gives you the opportunity to lead, manage and develop an innovative service, working to ensure the delivery of the Councils strategies. You'll be working openly and imaginatively with our partners including the Ipswich Vision Board and those in the private, arts, community, voluntary and government sectors who are committed to helping us realise our vision.
About the role
In conjunction with the Council's Senior Leadership team, you will have the chance to jointly create and own Economic Development Strategies. We are on a journey to revitalise our county town, Ipswich. As a result, your role will be important in ensuring that we maximise our opportunities to secure external funding by building effective partnerships and identifying opportunities for investment that enables economic growth.
It is important that we have strong management and monitoring over our funding programmes to ensure that outcomes are delivered in accordance with objectives and agreement targets, you will have the opportunity to oversee this. You will also have the chance to work on a local, regional and national level to maximise opportunities for investment which enable economic growth and create the conditions to generate inward investment opportunities.
