We are currently recruiting for a focused and talented individual to join the Planning & Reporting team based in York.

The Planning and reporting team, is truly at the heart of the finance function, providing support, governance, and strategic directionon best practice to all of our NiM businesses.

This Planning & Reporting Analyst opportunity would work directly with confectionery business, offering a fantastic opportunity to be true finance partner for one of the largest businesses in the UK Market butalso get the benefit from being part of a NiM Team working across all UK categories.

What can you expect in your role as a Finance Analyst?

One of a few roles where you get an overarching view of an entire business,
The work P&R do directly influences business decisions
You'll learn to think wider and more strategically

- considering the impact of business decisions and external factors on our P&L

You'll learn how all functions of the business fit together, dealing with other finance teams, sales & marketing

A real focus for this role will be to deliver meaningful insight that truly helps drive great commercial decision making for the business, ensuring a bestinclass support service is provided to the business

You'll also:

Proactively support with the planning preparations for the Monthly Business Planning cycle (MBP) dealing with Category Finance and Commercial Operations
Play a key role in highlighting any issues as and when needed ensuring the business understands the potential implications and takes the appropriate steps to resolve these issues.
Build great links with the Business Analytics team to support the development of reporting solutions that allow standardisation of reporting.
Play a key role in driving efficiencies and standardisation in everything we do, working closely with different areas living by a mindset of value up and waste out through continuous improvement and sharing best practices.
Participate in cross functional improvement projects supporting the function's ambition to really strive for excellence in everything we do.
Champion the importance for our people outside of the finance function to really understand the 'financials' of our business, by acting as a coach to develop their finance capability.

What will make you successful as a Finance Analyst;

To be successful in this role you'll be a part or fully qualified Accountant with a breadth of finance experience already under your belt.

You'll have an excellent eye for detail and understand how your decisions impact the wider business strategy.

You'llhave great communication skills that enable you to influence across all levels whilst being able to develop positive cross business relationships, coupled with your ability to be flexible when prioritising work in an environment that is very often ambiguous.
