    Job title: Project Manager – Business Transformation – Contract role 6 months

    Role Summary
    Schroders is growing in its remit to support the development of key corporate and business strategies
    and to drive and lead the design and delivery of large scale, cross group change. A Project Manager,
    capable of leading diverse and time bound projects, via multiple teams with differing specialisms, is
    needed to further support the portfolio of work.

    The projects led by the successful individual will enable continuing corporate growth and optimisation
    through the effective delivery of projects that, in partnership with business stakeholders, enable more
    flexible and efficient services, ensure compliance to regulations, improve customer experience and
    service, improve use of technology, onboard new business solutions, realise target operating models and
    deliver leaner processes.

    The role holder will be able to interact with internal and external parties, be a credible change
    professional and engender trust in both the change process and Schroders as an exemplary partner for
    our external clients.

    We require an individual with an excellent track record of delivering large or complex projects across
    Technology and Business disciplines, either as part of wider programme or as a stand alone project . It is
    expected that the individual will manage business analysts and potentially Subject Matter Experts via a
    matrix management approach.

    The Project Manager will be accountable to a Programme Manager and will also work significantly with
    the Head of Enterprise Change Delivery, business sponsors and Technology resources.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Support the initiation and mobilisation of projects and programmes as required;
    • Manage the delivery of complex projects across a range of initiatives, including supporting the safe
      onboarding of complex new business wins within the Commercial Portfolio;
    • Work with senior and other business stakeholders to define and deliver against business outcomes
      and ensure clear, consistent reporting;
    • Consider the impacts to the whole of Schroders, as well as our clients, when planning and managing
      delivery;
    • Co-ordinate resources as allocated within matrix management frameworks aligned to the domains
      and functions from where there will be provided;
    • Manage communication of progress and changes to the wider organisation;
    • Ensure financial diligence & reporting of the programme is adhered to working to secure delivery
      within budget;
    • Excellent risk and issue management;
    • Manage the discipline and cadence of business readiness activities

    • Practice, develop and promote the use of Business Transformation standards for change, whilst
      adapting agreed methodologies to effectively support a range of scenarios;
    • Create, own and manage project artefacts as necessary and
    • Effective planning, with the ability to construct, present and effectively communicate a range of
      roadmaps and detailed plans to diverse audiences.

    Person Profile

    • Experience and knowledge of Asset Management;
    • Proven delivery record of transformational projects;
    • Understanding of delivery methodologies and the Lean approach;
    • Ability to manage and motivate diverse sets of teams across multiple functions;
    • Evidence of multiple senior stakeholder management;
    • Strong collaborative skills and when appropriate able to influence across a broad, senior stakeholder
      base;
    • An understanding of the application of target operating models, design frameworks and Business
      Architecture capabilities;
    • Ability to deliver difficult messages where necessary and the ability to explain complex concepts in a
      clear and concise manner to stakeholders;
    • Evidence of resolving challenging issues and contributing to end state solution;
    • Able to make trade-offs to ensure priority value items are delivered;
    • Can drive to make decisions;
    • A good cultural fit for both Business Transformation and Schroders as a whole;
    • Comfortable with ambiguity and change;
    • Receptive to others 'ideas and responds constructively to challenges and
    • Basic professional qualifications relating to the asset management industry and project management
      practises
