Production and Product Support Engineer


Salary:
£30,000

Benefits: 23 days holiday plus BH, non-discretionary bonus, company pension

Our client based in Brough are a strong and reputable manufacturing business. They have an excellent reputation with their customers and their values align with everything they do. And are seeking a skilled and innovative Production and Product Support Engineerto join their dynamic, friendly, and professional team.

THE ROLE:
Provide problem solving to new products going through production
Responsible for maintenance and repairs for equipment used during production.
Work with all departments to ensure the right solution in the agreed timescales.
Use of video calling for diagnostic field analysis of Customer issues
Provide technical support out of normal working hours via a mobile phone
Attend Customer sites in the UK & Overseas if needed to provide 'on the ground' support and/or training
Create a log of issues, so repeat issues are solved quickly
Be able to feed repetitive problems into Production procedures
Provide technical reports when required.
Perform all duties in accordance with HSE guidelines and other instructions / training
Assist in implementation of new equipment
Carry out various improvements on the production floor to a high standard
Consider and suggest any potential improvements to efficiency gains
Carry out any other duties requested by the Engineering Manager.
Working Monday to Thursday 7.30am to 4.00pm Friday 7.30am to 1.00pm

THE CANDIDATE:
A strong technical background with basic knowledge of electrical and mechanical systems.
A proven problem solver who can get to the root cause of the problem
Must be able to work under pressure and co-ordinate several activities concurrently
Ability to interpret information to extract and present key issues and actions to other teams
Customer service focused as this is a customer facing role
