    Electrical / Mechanical Support Engineer

    As a Electrical / Mechanical Support Engineer, your primary responsibilities will include:


    • Installation and commissioning on customers' sites of equipment, systems, and turnkey projects.
    • Service and repair of equipment, both on-site and in the factory, including fault diagnostics and preventative maintenance suggestions.
    • Conducting customer training sessions on the use and maintenance of equipment, as well as operator training on the full range of thermal spray equipment.
    • Demonstrating equipment and sample preparation, including determining customer requirements and finding the best solution.
    • Providing technical support and information to customers via phone, email, or remote video methods, troubleshooting effectively.

    Candidate Profile:

    We invite candidates who possess the following attributes:

    • Competent with electrical equipment, including fault finding and understanding drawings.
    • Understanding of industrial control systems, ideally including PLCs and HMIs.
    • Familiarity with large facility installations and health and safety requirements.
    • Ability to read engineering drawings, electrical schematics, mechanical layout drawings, and technical specifications.
    • Computer literate, with the ability to log work and complete service report logs.
    • Mechanical fault-finding skills.
    • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
    • Intermittent UK/Overseas travel, ranging from 1 day to 3 days may be required for planned installations, with the rest of the time based on-site at Dudley.
