Overview

2fawcett have an exciting opportunity for a Technical Quality Manager to join a manufacturing bsuiness in Derby on a full time, permanent basis.

The Technical Manager is responsible for maintaining food safety and quality and through implementation of robusttechnical standards, systems, and processes.


Role & Responsibilities of the Technical Quality Manager:

  • Provide food technical support to all areas of the business
  • Further develop and implement Quality Management System (QMS) for all product lines and processes
  • Constantly review and maintain controls and documentation relating to food safety and quality: HACCP, Bakery HACCP, Bakery Quality Manual, policies / procedures, and documents relating to food safety and quality
  • Ensure that all raw materials comply with all specifications
  • Manage and develop the Technical Administrator and carry out performance reviews / appraisals
  • Provide nutritional and allergen information for products and ensure that the company's website is maintained with uptodate information
  • Oversee recipe management control and ensure that they are replicated within the Company ERP system
  • Introduce traceability and oversee compliance throughout applicable processes
  • Be the technical expert for any customer complaint investigations
  • Play an integral role in the corrective and prevention action process
  • Control and manage nonconformance
  • Perform internal auditing in accordance with the agreed schedule
  • Manage process and document change control

Requirements of the Technical Quality Manager:

  • Demonstratable problem-solving skills
  • Flexible approach to work hours
  • Ability to communicate and influence with all levels of the business
  • Excellent Written and Oral Communication Skills
  • Good computer literacy, including competency with MS Word and Excel
  • Excellent analytical and numerical capability
