    We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Category Manager to lead our utilities procurement efforts and contribute to the development of our procurement function from the ground up.


    Role Overview:

    As the Senior Category Manager for utilities in the medical device industry, you will be responsible for developing and implementing strategic procurement strategies for utilities, including electricity, gas, water, and other essential services.

    Joining a newly formed team in Stuttgart, you will have the opportunity to shape the direction of our procurement function, drive cost-saving initiatives, and optimize utility services to support our aggressive growth objectives.


    Category Strategy:

    Develop and execute comprehensive category strategies for utilities procurement, aligning with business goals, regulatory requirements, and industry best practices.

    # Build and maintain strategic relationships with utility service providers, negotiating contracts, and agreements to secure favorable terms, pricing, and service levels.
    # Identify opportunities for cost reduction and efficiency improvement in utility procurement processes, leveraging market insights, data analytics, and innovative solutions.
    # Risk Management:

    Assess and mitigate risks associated with utility services, including supply disruptions, regulatory compliance, and cost volatility, implementing risk mitigation strategies to ensure continuity of service.

    # Contract Management:

    Oversee the negotiation, execution, and management of utility contracts, ensuring compliance with contractual obligations, service level agreements (SLAs), and regulatory requirements.

    # Performance Monitoring:

    Monitor and evaluate the performance of utility service providers against KPIs, conducting regular reviews and audits to ensure compliance and service quality.

    # Stakeholder Engagement:

    Collaborate with internal stakeholders, including facilities management, operations, finance, and sustainability teams, to align utility procurement strategies with business objectives and requirements.

    # Drive continuous improvement initiatives in utility procurement processes, implementing best practices, optimizing workflows, and enhancing efficiency to achieve cost savings and operational excellence.

    Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Engineering, or a related field. Master's degree or professional certifications (e.g., Minimum of 7 years of experience in strategic procurement or category management roles, with a focus on utilities procurement within the medical device or pharmaceutical industry.
    Proven track record of developing and implementing successful category strategies, driving cost savings, and optimizing utility services.

    Strong negotiation skills and contract management experience, with the ability to build and maintain strategic partnerships with utility service providers.

    Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze data, identify trends, and develop actionable insights to support decision-making.

    Solid understanding of utility services, regulations, and industry standards, with a focus on compliance, sustainability, and risk management.
    Fluency in German and English, both written and verbal.
