    Description


    As a result of continued growth, my client is seeking to recruit a Company Accountant to be based at the Company's Head Office on the South side of Glasgow.

    The role will hold responsibility for overseeing the financial management and accounting functions of the organisation.

    In addition to line managing a small team, you will have expertise in financial accounting and knowledge of Sage Line 50 and Sage Payroll software will be essential in ensuring accurate and timely reporting.


    Responsibilities:

    • Payroll
    • Prepare and analyse financial statements, including balance sheets, Profit & Loss, income statements, and cash flow statements
    • Conduct monthend and yearend close processes
    • Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable functions
    • Reconcile bank statements and general ledger accounts
    • Stay updated on industry trends and changes in accounting regulations
    • Support our external Accountants with necessary information to complete the statutory accounts
    • The completion of statutory returns, compliance and taxation matters

    Skills:

    • Proficiency in Sage Line 50 and Sage Payroll is essential
    • Strong knowledge of financial management principles and practices
    • Excellent analytical skills with attention to detail
    • Solid understanding of GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles)
    • Ability to prioritise tasks and meet deadlines
    • Effective communication skills, both written and verbal
    • Strong problemsolving abilities
    • Experience in mentoring junior accounting staff
    • Strong knowledge of all Microsoft software
    • Understanding of VAT in relation to import duties & taxes

    Additional Information:

    Hours:
    Monday to Friday 9-5pm (based on site)

    Salary:
    £40-50k (based on experience)
