    MCG Talent are looking for a Managing Director to lead the Saudi office operations of our client, a multinational public affairs consultancy.

    This role is open to those who are open to relocate, but you must have previous experience working with Saudi clients.

    Your primary responsibility will be to oversee the company's operations, drive growth within the Saudi market, and represent its interests to key stakeholders. While previous knowledge and expertise of Saudi Arabia is a must, fluency in Arabic is desirable but not mandatory.

    Additionally, while not currently based in Riyadh, the successful candidate must be open to relocating.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Lead and oversee all aspects of the company's operations within Saudi Arabia.
    • Develop and implement strategies to optimize operational efficiency and effectiveness.
    • Ensure compliance with local regulations and company policies.
    • Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including government officials, industry leaders, and clients.
    • Act as a trusted advisor to clients, providing strategic counsel on public affairs matters.
    • Serve as the primary spokesperson for the company in Saudi Arabia, effectively communicating its objectives and positions.
    • Identify opportunities for growth and expansion within the Saudi market.
    • Develop and execute plans to penetrate new sectors and acquire new clients.
    • Lead business development efforts, including client prospecting, pitching, and negotiation.
    • Team Development:
    • Recruit, onboard, and develop a high-performing team to support the company's objectives.
    • Provide mentorship, guidance, and support to team members, fostering a collaborative and results-driven culture.
    • Conduct regular performance evaluations and provide constructive feedback to enhance team productivity and effectiveness.
    • Strategic Planning:
    • Collaborate with senior leadership to develop and execute strategic plans for the Saudi market.
    • Analyze market trends, competitive landscape, and regulatory developments to inform decision-making.
    • Drive innovation and continuous improvement initiatives to maintain a competitive edge.

    Qualifications:

    • Proven experience in a leadership role within the public affairs, government relations, or consultancy industry, with a strong understanding of the Saudi market.
    • Demonstrated ability to build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including government officials, business leaders, and clients.
    • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex ideas clearly and persuasively.
    • Strong strategic thinking, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
    • Fluency in Arabic is desirable but not mandatory.
    • Previous knowledge and expertise of Saudi Arabia is a must.
    • Must be open to relocating to Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.
