Role Description:
Business Support / Admin Assistant


We are looking for a self-motivated and proactive individual to join the Business Support team based at NCR, Discovery Centre R&D site in Dundee.

This is a great opportunity to join a small, dedicated team with responsibility for maintaining a consistent and timely delivery of business and procurement support services to Engineering.


Key areas of Responsibility:
in support of business operations and engineering procurement- Engineering requisitions; place orders through Oracle Cloud, tracking through to delivery and invoicing/payment- Purchase card; place orders online, by telephone or in person tracking through to delivery and invoicing/payment- Liase with suppliers and internal finance teams as appropriate- Order capital purchases- Provide guidance to employees, contact point for all admin requests- Make travel arrangements, prepare expense claims for LT- Order PCs, laptops, and peripherals in accordance with corporate standards- Inventory, order, and maintain office supplies- Organisation of meetings for visitors (NCR & non-NCR)- Organise staff availability, sync and co-ordination for meetings, events, all-hands, Executive Leadership Team visits- Support internal co-ordination of resources for events- Assist in co-ordination of contract resources- Library key holder in accordance with auditable process documents- Maintain up-to-date organisation charts and departmental metrics- Coordinate and communicate daily with team and manager on daily operational issues


Required skills and experience:

  • 5+ Years' experience in similar role, Business Admin qualifications preferable Prior knowledge of cloud based ERP systems would be advantageous Strong communication skills both written and verbal Proficiency in MS office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint), Outlook, Oracle Familiarity with webbased tools and functions High level of business integrity needed due to positions' exposure to confidential information Have a sense of urgency with the ability to multitask Enthusiastic and selfmotivated with ability to take initiative and work independently Detail oriented Ability to work effectively in a team environment
