    Leicestershire Police are looking for a two IT Programme Support Assistants to join the team on a full-time, permanent basis to provide a finance and administration service to the IT Department. You will be assisting with identifying, calculating, and analysing process, service, project and component costs for financial planning and budgeting to facilitate decision making.

    Key Responsibilities

  • To have good understanding of the ITIL service management framework and processes, and the ability to apply the knowledge in a finance role.
  • To contribute to the definition and operation of effective financial control and decision-making within the department by analysing actual expenditure and variances and advising on options in the use of available budgets.
  • Collaborating with business and technical stakeholders to ensure that appropriate business, technical, project, support, department and training documentation and artefacts are delivered and maintained throughout the life cycle of systems and services. This includes but is not limited to documentation relating to financial spending, returns, invoices, forecasts, financial year-end statements, budget carry forwards, goods receipting, departmental risks, health & safety, suppliers, contractor & staff vetting statuses, etc. To arrange scanning and destruction of documents as per Force regulations.
  • The must haves

  • Be educated to A-Level/T-Level/ or BTEC standard and to hold GCSE Grade C or equivalent in English and Maths or be able to demonstrate skills and ability up to or above this level through work experience.
  • Demonstrate the ability to provide a high-quality service to individuals and departments we serve, which includes the ability to manage customer expectations and a commitment to the provision of a high-quality services to customers.
  • Hold a full current driving licence– reasonable adjustments will be considered for candidates who (because of disabilities) cannot meet this requirement and be prepared to occasionally travel regionally and nationally to attend meetings, as appropriate.

    Salary: £27,789 – £29,874 (For part time hours the salary will be calculated on a pro-rata basis, this is based on the number of hours for the vacancy.)
