About the Company:


Level 3 Metal Fabrication Apprenticeship Standard


At Unifabs, our goal is to be much more than 'just' a supplier of sheet metal fabrication's and parts; We want to be
your Manufacturing Partner of choice.

We offer extensive sheet metal fabrication capabilities, which include:

CNC punching, laser cutting, CNC punch / laser combination, CNC metal bending & forming, metal fabrication & welding, powder coating & assembly.


Whether we're supplying sheet metal components just in timeto your manufacturing line, or controlling the entire production process on a contract manufacturing basis, we want to operate as an extension of your business.


We are currently seeking 5 to 8 Apprentice Metal Fabricators

Working week:

Monday to Thursday: 9:00am to 4:30pm

Friday: 9:00am to 1:30pm

Total hours per week: 32.5


Expected apprenticeship duration:

42 Months


Planned start date:

September 2024


Apprenticeship level:

Advanced Level 3


What does the job role involve?

  • Interpreting Manufacturing Drawings
  • Solidworks
  • CNC Laser / Punch
  • Press Brake / Metal Bending
  • Welding and Fabrication
  • Powder Coating
  • Mechanical Assembly
  • Inspection

What training will the apprentice take and what qualification will the apprentice get at the end?
As well as gaining a broad range of professional knowledge and experience, you will gain academic and vocational qualifications such as the Metal Fabrication Apprenticeship Standard, NVQ Level 3 Fabrication Welding and Level 3 AMED


What is the expected career progression after this apprenticeship?


You could continue to develop your career by choosing to obtain further qualifications, develop and improve your management and leadership skills or even move across the different areas of the business to pursue a career in your chosen field.
