    Description

    A great opportunity has become available for an Account Executive to join a company that is a market leader in meat processing.

    The role will be situated at a site of the clients contract based at their head office in Manchester.


    As an account executive you will be improving product performance via collaborative demand planning, the provision of analytical support (sales analysis, waste, availability and ranging), detailed product & market knowledge and category insight.


    Key responsibilities:

    • Accurate and effective communication between the suppler and retailer as well as internal departments.
    • Investigation, analysis & improvement of key issues affecting inbound availability and on-shelf availability.
    • Working collaboratively with retailers Supply Chain Analysts to agree promotional forecasting with a focus on key events throughout the year.
    • Analyse BAU & promotional performance and identify learnings and opportunities to improve proposition.
    • Daily tracking of key lines with particular focus on key promotional periods (i.e. Xmas) highlighting key issues with immediate escalation, contingency action and resolution.
    • Drive new collaborative initiatives between suppler and retailer, championing and implementing innovative ideas to help meet shared objectives.
    • Updating and reporting weekly commercial performance and KPI's and flagging concerns and areas for focus.
    • Utilise appropriate reporting tools and systems to pro-actively provide feedback to improve performance.
    • Maintain product & vendor details so that order placement and delivery flows through the system efficiently.
    • Ad-hoc project management from feasibility stage through to implementation and review stages. Working with the suppler and retailer teams to provide solutions for problematic issues within the category.

    About you:

    • Outstanding analytical and numerical skills with a keen attention to detail
    • A team player with the ability to interact with colleagues across a wide-range of departments and businesses
    • Excellent interpersonal, written, verbal, communication, & IT skills
    • Good understanding of a convenience retailer's business model and processes
    • A minimum of 1 years' experience within a high volume FMCG role
    • Experience of project-management within the FMCG industry
    • Ability to work under periods of high pressure and to manage workload effectively to meet supplier/retailer goals.
    • A self-managing proactive approach

    This is unique role allowing you to see both sides of operations across both supplier & retailer within the FMCG industry.

    The salary for this role is £35,000 plus benefits.

    This is a hybrid role consisting of 2 days in their Manchester head office and 3 days at home.
