  • Primary Responsibilities:

  • Monitors open order status to support global buyers to eliminate past due orders and co-ordinates with global buyers for updates. Works with buyers and suppliers to ensure recovery plans are in place and being followed for past due orders and identifies potential risk for future orders than may impact operations at the Leighton Buzzard facility.
  • Recognizes and escalates global supply chain problems on a timely basis to on site Operations support and supply chain management.
  • Attends local production meetings with updates on supply chain order books to support site operations.
  • Works to drive continuous improvement in quality and delivery; includes requesting and follow-up on formal corrective actions and recovery plans.
  • Coordinates with all interior's services & support tactical buyers (across the globe) to ensure shipments arrive at Leighton Buzzard and can be processed with no issues.
  • Collaborates with other departments as necessary regarding meeting customer requirements, minimizing negative impacts on a business in the case of shortages.
  • Essential Criteria:

  • Third level qualification in Business, Engineering or relevant degree or 5 years previous experience in a Supply Chain role
  • Proficient in Excel, and MRP/ERP systems.
  • Experience in managing processes or project management.
  • Desirable criteria:

  • Experience working in a manufacturing environment and/or the Aerospace industry.
  • Knowledge of Continuous Improvement.
  • Have CIPS/APSICS or working towards a supply chain qualification.
  • Travel requirement – Some domestic or international travel may be required 10% - 20%.

    Hours of Work - Standard Staff Hours – 39 hours per week
