HEAD OF DEPARTMENT (SPORT)

Situated on the beautiful Moray Coast in the North of Scotland, Gordonstoun is widely recognised as the world leader in character education.

We run our own prestigious and well-established Summer School for children aged 8-16 from approximately 40 nationalities.

Each year we create a vibrant international community where our staff play a critical role in creating a happy and formative summer experience for our students.

We are looking for a Head of Department (Sport) to lead our busy summer school sports department.

You will oversee a programme of sports for all summer school students that will enable them to work in teams, grow in confidence and develop their sporting skills, utilising all of the campus sports facilities.

You will lead a team of sports teachers, coaches and staff assistants, ensuring a professional approach to summer school operations at all times.

Applicant must hold a PGCE/PGDE or relevant coaching qualifications. Experience of working in an educational, boarding or summer school environment is also required.

Summer School operates two courses and the Head of Department (Sport) is required to be available for the full duration.

2024 dates, including mandatory induction, are:
Tues 2nd July - Mon 5th August
Residential position with full board. Competitive Salary.
